Job Summary
As a Medical Professional at Octapharma Plasma, you will conduct evaluations to determine donor eligibility for plasmapheresis procedures and immunizations, perform medical history reviews, and maintain accurate communication logs. Compliance with federal and state regulations is essential. Responsibilities include monitoring donors, ensuring confidentiality, and providing appropriate medical care when complications arise. Required qualifications include a recognized healthcare education, valid EMT certification, and CPR certification, with a preference for candidates with experience in plasma centers.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of a recognized healthcare-related educational program, such as Physician, Nurse (Licensed Practical Nurse or Registered Nurse)
- Certified/licensed as an emergency medical technician (EMT Basic, EMT 2-intermediate, or 3- advanced/paramedic, if allowable)
- Must maintain current and valid license and pass medical credential evaluation
- Must maintain current cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) certification
- Any specific state licensing requirements must be met per location
- Ability to understand and follow SOPs and protocols
- Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand English
Desired Qualifications
- One (1)-year experience in the hospital, field care, or experience in a plasma center preferred
- Must have excellent patient/donor assessment skills
- Possess effective physical and clinical assessment skills customer service and people management skills
- Basic working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel preferred
Additional Requirements
- Must work within the scope of the professional license/certification, as defined by the state in which the work is performed
