Job Summary
The Medical Professional evaluates donor eligibility for plasmapheresis, conducts medical history reviews, and maintains compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. Responsibilities include reviewing informed consent forms, managing donors, monitoring donor reactions, and ensuring confidentiality of records. Candidates must possess a recognized healthcare qualification such as an EMT, RN, or LPN, hold a valid state license, and maintain CPR certification. The role requires effective assessment skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage emergency situations, with a preference for 1+ year experience in relevant settings.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of a recognized healthcare-related educational program (Physician, Nurse, EMT)
- Current state license as an EMT, RN, or LPN
- Maintenance of current and valid license
- Current CPR certification
- Ability to work shifts including evenings, weekends, holidays and extended shifts
- Excellent patient/donor assessment skills
- Ability to manage emergency situations
Desired Qualifications
- 1+ year experience in hospital, field care, or plasma center preferred
- Basic working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
Additional Requirements
- Must have a Licensed Practical Nurse or Registered Nurse on staff during plasmapheresis in specified states
- Must meet specific state licensing requirements for Alabama, California, New Jersey, Ohio, Washington
