Job Summary
As a Medical Professional at Octapharma Plasma, you will be responsible for evaluating donor eligibility and maintaining compliance within the donor center. This role involves reviewing informed consent forms, conducting medical history reviews, managing donor reactions during plasmapheresis, and ensuring adherence to SOPs and regulatory standards. You will also participate in training as a Donor Center Technician, mentor junior staff, and provide medical care to donors as needed. The position requires excellent assessment skills, ability to manage emergency situations, and maintaining confidentiality of records.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of a recognized healthcare-related educational program such as Nurse (LPN/RN) or Emergency Medical Technician (EMT)
- One (1) year of experience in hospital, field care, or plasma center
- Current state-issued license for moderate complexity testing
- Successful completion of training program and competency assessments
Desired Qualifications
- Current licensure as LPN/RN/EMT as per state regulations
- Excellent patient/donor assessment skills
- Ability to manage emergency situations according to standard medical practices
- Basic computer knowledge including Microsoft Word and Excel
- CPR certification
