Job Summary
The Medical Professional position at Octapharma Plasma involves evaluating donor eligibility for plasmapheresis procedures, conducting medical history reviews, ensuring donor center compliance with regulations, and managing donor reactions. Candidates must be certified/licensed as an EMT, LPN, or RN, with a preference for one year of related experience, excellent assessment skills, and the ability to manage emergencies. Ongoing training for staff mentorship and compliance with standard operating procedures is essential.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of a recognized healthcare-related educational program (e.g., LPN, RN, EMT)
- Current licensure/certification as required by state
- Ability to follow standard operating procedures (SOP) and regulations
- Must possess basic computer skills and knowledge
Desired Qualifications
- 1 year experience in hospital, field care, or plasma center preferred
- Excellent patient/donor assessment skills
- Ability to manage emergency situations according to standard medical care practices
- Effective customer service and people management skills
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
