Job Summary
As a Medical Professional at Octapharma Plasma, you will play a crucial role in evaluating donor eligibility for plasmapheresis procedures and immunizations. The position requires compliance with SOPs and federal regulations, performing medical history reviews, and managing donor interactions. You will need to maintain accurate records, train as a Donor Center Technician I, and ensure confidentiality of donor information. Candidates should have a graduated healthcare-related education and certifications in their respective fields, along with essential assessment skills and a commitment to safety and regulations.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of a recognized healthcare-related educational program such as Physician, Nurse (LPN or RN).
- Certified/licensed as an EMT (Basic, Intermediate, Advanced/Paramedic).
- Must maintain a current and valid license and pass medical credential evaluation.
- Current CPR certification required.
- Ability to understand and follow SOPs and protocols.
Desired Qualifications
- One (1)-year experience in the hospital, field care, or experience in a plasma center preferred.
- Excellent patient/donor assessment skills.
- Ability to manage emergency situations in accordance with standard medical care practices.
- Highly organized with attention to detail.
- Effective physical and clinical assessment skills, customer service, and people management skills.
- Basic computer knowledge and skills with a working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel preferred.
- Ability to speak, read, write, and understand English.
