Job Summary
The Medical Professional at Octapharma Plasma is responsible for determining donor eligibility for plasmapheresis procedures, conducting medical history reviews, and maintaining compliance with federal and state regulations. This role requires excellent patient assessment skills, ability to manage emergency situations, and adherence to SOPs. Candidates must hold a valid EMT certification, possess relevant healthcare education, and have at least one year of experience in healthcare or plasma center environments. CPR certification is required, along with strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of a recognized healthcare-related educational program such as Physician, Nurse (LPN or RN)
- Certified/licensed as an emergency medical technician (EMT)
- One (1) year experience in the hospital, field care, or experience in a plasma center (preferred)
- Must maintain current and valid license and pass medical credential evaluation
- Must maintain current CPR certification
- Excellent patient/donor assessment skills
- Ability to manage emergency situations
- Must be highly organized with attention to detail
- Effective physical and clinical assessment skills
- Customer service and people management skills
- Ability to speak, read, write, and understand English
Desired Qualifications
- Ability to understand and follow SOPs and protocols
- Basic working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
