Job Summary
The role of EMT/Paramedic at Octapharma Plasma involves evaluating donor eligibility for plasmapheresis procedures and ensuring compliance with SOPs and regulations. Responsibilities include conducting medical history reviews, maintaining accurate records, monitoring donor reactions, and providing appropriate medical care as needed. Candidates must be graduates of a healthcare-related program, hold relevant EMT certifications, have strong assessment skills, and be able to manage emergencies. The role requires excellent organizational skills and the ability to follow detailed protocols.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of a recognized healthcare-related educational program (Physician, Nurse, EMT)
- Certified/licensed as an emergency medical technician (EMT Basic, EMT Intermediate, or EMT Paramedic)
- Must work within the scope of professional license/certification
- Must possess a current license issued by the state where the donor center is located
- Must maintain current cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) certification

- Ability to manage emergency situations in accordance with standard medical care practices
- Effective physical and clinical assessment skills
- Customer service and people management skills
- Basic computer knowledge and skills
- Basic working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel preferred
Additional Requirements
- Specific state licensing requirements must be met per location
- Must always have a Licensed Practical Nurse or Registered Nurse on staff during plasmapheresis in certain states
