Job Summary
The Medical Professional - EMT at Octapharma Plasma evaluates donor eligibility for plasmapheresis procedures, determines donor qualifications in line with regulatory standards, and manages donor interactions with a focus on safety and compliance. Responsibilities include performing medical history reviews, maintaining accurate records, training other staff, and assisting with donor care during adverse reactions. Candidates must have a relevant healthcare degree, maintain state licensure, and possess strong assessment and organizational skills.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of a recognized healthcare-related educational program such as Licensed Practical Nurse or Registered Nurse
- Certified/licensed as an emergency medical technician (EMT Basic, EMT Intermediate, or EMT Advanced/Paramedic)
- Current cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) certification
- Current and valid state license for location where work is performed
- Ability to manage emergency situations according to standard medical care practices
- Attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to understand and follow SOPs and protocols
- Ability to work shifts including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in a plasma center is preferred
- Effective physical and clinical assessment skills
- Customer service and people management skills
- Basic working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel

- Must work within the scope of professional license/certification as defined by the state
- State-specific licensing requirements must be met
