Job Summary
The Medical Professional role focuses on evaluating donor eligibility for plasmapheresis and immunizations in accordance with FDA/CLIA/good manufacturing practice standards, reviewing informed consent, performing donor health assessments, ensuring donor center compliance, and managing donor data in the NexLynk system. Responsibilities include monitoring donor reactions, ordering/participating in immunizations as allowed, mentoring/training Donor Center Technicians, and performing QA backups. Requires healthcare licensure/certification (EMT/PN/RN) with state-specific requirements, CPR certification, strong clinical assessment skills, and the ability to work varied shifts. Must maintain confidentiality and follow SOPs while providing safe, compliant donor care and support for the Hyperimmune Program where applicable.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of a recognized healthcare-related educational program
- Certified/licensed as an emergency medical technician (EMT Basic, EMT 2-intermediate, or 3- advanced/paramedic, if allowable)
- Must work within the scope of the professional license/certification as defined by the state
- State-specific licensing requirements per location (Alabama, California, New Jersey, Ohio, Washington)
- 1-year hospital, field care, or plasma center experience preferred
- Current CPR certification
- English proficiency (speaking, reading, writing)
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to follow SOPs and protocols
- Basic computer knowledge; MS Word/Excel preferred
- Ability to work day/evening shifts, weekends, holidays, and extended shifts
