Job Summary

The Medical Physicist in Radiotherapy is responsible for conducting patient treatment planning, ensuring accurate and scientifically valid treatment protocols, and calculating radiation doses for patients. This role collaborates closely with clinical oncologists and radiation therapists to establish treatment plans and provides radiation safety services. The position also involves educating and training in medical physics while maintaining compliance with safety regulations. Candidates must possess a Master’s degree in Medical Physics or related fields and have at least 1 year of experience in radiotherapy treatment planning and quality assurance.

Required Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Medical Physics, Physics or a related field
  • Minimum 1 year experience in computerized radiotherapy treatment planning and quality assurance

Desired Qualifications

  • Proficiency in treatment planning systems and radiation dose calculation software
  • Fluent in both spoken and written English and Bahasa Malaysia
  • Knowledge of radiation safety standards, regulations, and best practices
