Job Summary

Conduct Intensity Modulated Radiotherapy and conventional 3D treatment planning, perform weekly patient chart reviews and rounds, and execute in-vivo dosimetry and patient-specific IMRT quality assurance. Perform manual calculations on computerized treatment plan monitor units, conduct monthly equipment testing, and manage Low and High dose Rate treatment planning. Requires board certification in Therapeutic Radiological Physics by the American Board of Radiology and a New York State Professional License. Located in Glens Falls, this role supports Radiation Oncology, Medical Imaging, and other departments utilizing radiation-producing equipment.

Required Qualifications

  • M.S. Radiological Sciences/Medical Physics
  • Minimum of three years of Medical Physicist experience
  • Board certification in Therapeutic Radiological Physics by the American Board of Radiology
  • Professional License in Therapeutic Radiological Physics by the New York State Education Department
  • Understanding of radiation physics
  • Understanding of medical physics
  • Understanding of radiobiology
  • Understanding of accelerators
  • Understanding of simulators
  • Understanding of brachytherapy equipment
  • Understanding of treatment planning systems
  • Understanding of radiation safety
