Job Summary
Analyze and interpret performance measurements for nuclear medicine imaging equipment, including SPECT, PET, and dose calibrators. Perform radiation safety and quality assurance testing, oversee radionuclide calibration, and conduct patient organ dose calculations. Execute radiation protection design surveys, seal source leak tests, and inventory verification while ensuring compliance with NRC, NYC, and NY State health codes. Maintain professional credentials and participate in ACR accreditation and nuclear medicine audits. Report radiation safety testing and data management improvements within two weeks of due dates.
Required Qualifications
- Masters degree program that is acceptable to the NYS Office of Professions
- 7 years of relevant experience
- NYS License in Nuclear Medical Physics
- Qualified candidates must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization
