Job Summary
This position requires providing medical physics services in radiation therapy, ensuring quality and safety of treatment plans and delivery. Responsibilities include the design and compliance of quality control programs, performing clinical tasks regarding treatment checks and quality assurance testing, physics planning for brachytherapy, and collaborating with other departments. Candidates must have a Master's degree in Medical Physics and be board-certified or board-eligible, with prior experience in radiation oncology preferred. Physical demands include light work, occasionally lifting up to 20 lbs.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree in Medical Physics from a CAMPEP accredited Program or Doctoral/Ph.D. level advanced degree
- Board-certified or board-eligible in Therapeutic/Radiation Oncology Medical Physics upon hire
Desired Qualifications
- 2+ years experience in clinical radiation oncology setting
Additional Requirements
- Board eligible physicists must obtain board certification within the 6-year ABR board-eligibility window, preferably within 12 months of hire
