Job Summary
Independent, detail-oriented Medical Payment Poster needed to post and reconcile insurance payments across a high-volume payer mix in a remote, home-based role. Responsibilities include posting and reconciling insurance and third-party payments, processing contractual write-offs and transfers, posting denials with appropriate reason codes, researching unidentified payments, balancing postings daily, and collaborating with the team to meet daily/weekly/monthly targets. Requires strong familiarity with insurance explanations of benefits, medical terminology, and high-volume billing environments; must have excellent typing and 10-key skills. Remote, full-time role supporting a large physical therapy clinic network.
Required Qualifications
- High School/G.E.D requirement or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Minimum of 2 years medical experience
- Minimum of 1 year experience in payment posting
- Knowledge and understanding of insurance explanation of benefits
- Understanding of medical terminology
- Prior experience with high volume transactional environment preferred
- Excellent typing and 10 key skills
- Medical Payment posting experience: 1 year (required)
- Understanding of explanation of benefits (required)
