Job Summary
Accurately post and reconcile payments from various sources while confirming proper application based on EOBs. Collaborate with the billing team to resolve payment discrepancies and identify issues requiring exception handling. Generate and analyze payment reports to provide insights, maintaining accurate records and ensuring confidentiality. Work with team members to optimize payment processes in a fast-paced environment. This role supports MainStreet Family Care's urgent care revenue cycle team in Birmingham, AL.
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience in medical payment posting, preferably in an urgent care or healthcare setting.
- Familiarity with medical billing software and proficiency in using financial systems.
- Knowledge of healthcare payment processes, including EOB interpretation and insurance claim reconciliation.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
- Effective communication skills to interact with insurance companies, patients, and internal stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- High School Diploma
