Job Summary
Conduct comprehensive eye exams using full-field optometry instruments and techniques to deliver superior vision care. Diagnose visual diseases, disorders, and deficiencies by prescribing corrective lenses, low vision aids, and treatments in accordance with state laws. Manage pre-op and post-operative care while handling eye health emergencies and maintaining updated medical records for all patients. Build strong doctor-patient relationships through clear communication of medical terms. Requires State Optometrist Licensure and Board Certification, with experience preferred. Located at 1415 North Loop West, Suite 400, Houston, TX.
Required Qualifications
- State Optometrist Licensure
- Board Certification
- Exam patients having a full range of visual programs using a full field of optometry instruments and techniques
- Determines visual requirements for patients by prescribing corrective lenses, low vision aids, etc.
- Diagnoses visual diseases, disorders, and deficiencies by prescribing treating in accordance with state laws
- Handles eye health emergencies
- Maintains updated and accurate medical records of all patients
- In-depth understanding of eye conditions and vision defects
- Proven ability to explain and discuss medical terms simply and calmly
Desired Qualifications
