Medical Optometrist – Oculoplastics

Job Summary
Part-time Optometrist role focused on oculoplastic surgical pipeline support, medical clinic management, diagnostics, and perioperative care. You will evaluate and treat adult patients with adnexal and ocular surface pathologies, co-manage post-operative follow-ups, perform targeted diagnostics (including extended visual fields, external ocular photography, and anterior segment OCTs), execute non-incisional procedures within the California optometric scope, identify surgical candidates for referral, and maintain accurate EHR documentation with compliant billing. The position is supported by a dedicated clinical technician and collaborates closely with ophthalmology staff in a fast-paced setting.
Required Qualifications
- Doctor of Optometry (OD) from an accredited institution
- Active California optometry license with full Therapeutic Pharmaceutical Agents (TPA) certification
- Interest or experience in medical optometry, ocular disease management, or surgical co-management
- Strong collaborative communication within an integrated MD/OD model
