Job Summary
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate the nursing care of medical oncology patients within the facility while coordinating activities with the healthcare team and outside medical providers. Provide coordination of patient care, participate in patient and family teaching, and maintain standards for professional nursing. Handle emergency or crisis situations as needed under the direction of the Medical Oncologist. Requires a current Washington State Registered Nurse License, BLS certification, and one year of ambulatory medical clinic experience.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
- BSN or equivalent
- Minimum of one year experience in an ambulatory medical clinic
- Medical oncology experience
- Current Washington State Registered Nurse License
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification within 30 days of hire
Desired Qualifications
- OCN certification within 3 years of hire
- 12 oncology-based CEs annually or total of 36 in a 3-year period
