Job Summary
Provide specialized care for patients undergoing cancer treatment, including administering systemic therapies such as chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and targeted agents. Assess and manage treatment-related symptoms, coordinate care across disciplines, and support patients through education, counseling, and survivorship planning. Order, interpret, and follow up on diagnostic tests and imaging while documenting all patient interactions and clinical decisions in the electronic medical record. Participate in tumor boards, care conferences, and quality improvement initiatives to stay current with oncology best practices and emerging therapies. Work alongside oncologists, nurses, pharmacists, and social workers within a Commission on Cancer-accredited program.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program
- Current ARNP certification and licensure in Washington State
- DEA, NPI & prescriptive authority
- Current BLS for Healthcare Providers certification by the American Heart Association
