Job Summary
The Advanced Practice Clinician (Acute Care Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) functions as an integral member of a multidisciplinary healthcare team within the acute care hospital setting on the Medical Oncology service line. Provides comprehensive inpatient care, performs histories and physicals, orders and interprets diagnostic tests, and collaborates with attending physicians and allied health professionals. Responsible for risk assessment of acutely and chronically ill patients, formulates differential diagnoses, develops and manages comprehensive plans of care, and may perform advanced procedures within privileges. Maintains documentation, participates in education and research initiatives, and engages in Grand Rounds and professional activities. Preferred experience in Bone Marrow Transplant or hematology/oncology; strong emphasis on evidence-based practice and interprofessional collaboration. Located in Philadelphia, PA, with in-person work expectations, full-time schedule.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s Degree
- National Board Certification as an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
- BLS Certification
