Job Summary
Medical Oncologist to join Geisinger Community Medical Center in Scranton, PA as the cancer center opens. The role offers an opportunity to work in a physician-led system with a collaborative team across surgical oncology, palliative medicine, radiation oncology, pathology, and imaging, including participation in clinical trials and education programs. Responsibilities include delivering high-quality cancer care with a focus on patient-centered care, training fellows/residents, and potential involvement with Geisinger Commonwealth School of Medicine, research collaborations, and participation in education programs. Required Qualifications
- Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (Required)
- Licensed Medical Doctor - State of Pennsylvania
- BC/BE Hematology & Medical Oncology Physicians
- Board certification or eligibility in Hematology & Medical Oncology
- Experience in cancer care and multidisciplinary teams
- Interest in clinical trials and oncology education
- Strong collaboration and communication skills
- Ability to participate in teaching and research activities
