Job Summary
Medical Oncologist sought to lead Phase I and early-phase clinical trials at Tufts Medical Center in Boston area. The role focuses on designing, activating, and conducting first-in-human Phase I studies, PI leadership for investigator-initiated and industry-sponsored trials, and expanding the Phase I program with translational research collaborations. Responsibilities include providing high-quality clinical care, mentoring trainees and junior faculty, sharing inpatient oncology and consult service coverage (including night and weekend duties), and contributing to teaching and scholarly activity. Preferred focus areas include thoracic or breast malignancies; strong track record in PI roles, academic publications, and collaboration with pharmaceutical/biotech partners. Requires MD or MD/PhD with board certification or eligibility in Medical Oncology and eligibility for Massachusetts medical licensure. Required Qualifications
- MD or MD/PhD with board certification or eligibility in Medical Oncology
- Subspecialty focus in thoracic or breast malignancies preferred
- Demonstrated experience serving as a Principal Investigator on Phase I or early-phase clinical trials
- Record of academic productivity, including peer-reviewed publications and clinical trial leadership
- Experience or strong interest in leading collaborations with pharmaceutical and biotech partners
- Eligibility for medical licensure in Massachusetts
