Medical Oncologist / Hematologist – Telehealth

Job Summary
Conduct clinical assessments, develop treatment plans, and manage pre-treatment workups for cancer patients via telehealth using video, audio, and asynchronous messaging. Diagnose and treat diverse cancer conditions while delivering personalized care, maintaining thorough documentation, and collaborating with local clinicians, nurses, and multidisciplinary teams. Provide patient education on treatment options and clinical trials, participate in tumor boards, and engage in continuous learning through scientific meetings and research. Represent the organization in community outreach and uphold regulatory compliance with federal and state healthcare laws.
Required Qualifications
- Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution
- Completion of residency in internal medicine or a related field
- Fellowship training in hematology or oncology
- Board certification in hematology or oncology
- Must possess and maintain an active, unrestricted Florida Medical License issued by the Florida Board of Medicine
- Board Certification in Internal Medicine or Board Certification or Board Eligibility in Medical Oncology or Hematology required
- Valid DEA (Drug Enforcement Administration) registration for prescribing controlled substances
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Knowledge of oncology, hematology, diagnostics and evidence-based protocols
- Strong critical thinking and decision-making in complex medical situations
- Proficient telehealth skills and use of EHRs
- Ability to clearly communicate with patients, families, and care teams
- Ability to work in a multidisciplinary environment meanwhile promoting collegiality and mutual respect
- Ability to manage time and have a high attention to detail
- Ability to demonstrate leadership, integrity, and compliance with medical, ethical and legal standards
- Knowledge of using electronic medical record systems (EMR)
