Job Summary
The Medical Oncologist / Hematologist will work with patients to discuss treatment options and manage treatment-related side effects. Responsibilities include effective communication with patients and families, documentation of treatment plans, performing administrative tasks related to patient care, and maintaining compliance with medical practice standards. Applicants must possess an MD or MD/PhD in oncology or hematology-oncology, be Board certified or eligible, and demonstrate the ability to interpret clinical data and operate relevant medical equipment.
Required Qualifications
- MD or MD/PhD with medical training specifically in oncology or hematology-oncology
- Board certified and/or Board eligible in hematology/oncology with a state license in good standing
- Willing to take the boards if Board eligible and pass within 12 months
- Motivated to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to effectively communicate with patients, technicians, fellow medical professionals and other clinic team members
- Physician must complete and clear necessary privileging, credentialing, and licensing applications
Desired Qualifications
- Ability to interpret clinical, genomic, and efficacy data
- Technical skills to operate medical equipment and tools related to cancer treatment
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
