Job Summary
Evaluate and diagnose patients with various forms of cancer, developing individualized treatment plans using chemotherapy, immunotherapy, hormonal therapy, or targeted therapy. Monitor patient response to treatment, adjust protocols as needed, and manage side effects and complications related to cancer therapies. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including surgeons, radiation oncologists, pathologists, and palliative care providers to ensure optimal outcomes. Educate patients and families on diagnosis, treatment options, side effects, and prognosis while maintaining accurate documentation in EHR systems. Participate in tumor board meetings and contribute to case discussions. Stay informed on the latest research, clinical trials, and oncology treatment advancements.
Required Qualifications
- Medical degree (MBBS, MD/DM/DNB) from an accredited institution
- Completion of a residency in Internal Medicine and a fellowship in Medical Oncology
- Board certification in Medical Oncology
- Valid medical license to practice in [Insert State/Region]
