Job Summary
Provide primary OB/GYN care including diagnosis, treatment, and preventative services to patients in a private office setting supported by Stony Brook Medicine. Obtain medical histories, perform physical examinations, order diagnostic procedures, and develop individualized care plans while educating patients on self-management and therapeutic regimens. Prescribe medications, document progress in the Electronic Medical Record, and monitor patient outcomes against quality benchmarks set by Population Health and payors. Lead the clinical team by supervising nurses and medical assistants, manage shadowing of medical students and interns, and share night and weekend call coverage with other physicians. Ensure HIPAA compliance and follow evidence-based practices to build a patient population base.
Required Qualifications
- MD or DO Graduate
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Obstetrics and Gynecology Medicine
- NYS Licensure
Desired Qualifications
- Post graduate experience in a group practice or group setting
- Experience in OB/GYN
- Experience in GYN advanced laparoscopic surgery
- Fluent in Spanish
