Job Summary
The Medical Office Technician role supports outpatient clinic operations both clinically and administratively, performing duties of the HAA and Clinical Assistant as trained, assisting clinical staff, conducting waived in-house testing, venipuncture, specimen handling, and compliance with COLA/CLIA. Travel to other Velocity Care locations is required; responsibilities include welcoming patients, assisting patients through the visit, maintaining equipment and supplies, training staff in basic lab procedures, assisting nursing staff with patient transport, and ensuring accurate lab labeling and reporting. The position emphasizes patient care, safe specimen handling, lab QC/calibration, and adherence to safety and regulatory guidelines in a busy outpatient setting. Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or 4 years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree
- Minimum of 1 year relevant experience
