Job Summary
Check patients in and out of the clinic, schedule appointments, and answer phones while relaying messages. Input all patients' information into VISTA/CPRS and verify clinical reminders are completed prior to check-out. Collaborate with the core PACT Team to develop patient care plans and participate in outreach events to support enrollment initiatives. Fulfill compliance requirements for the Office of Inspector General, Joint Commission, and Environment of Care oversight. Provide excellent customer service to veterans, colleagues, and clinic visitors while maintaining data input accuracy within specified VA guidelines. This safety-sensitive position requires current Basic Life Support and ACLS certification.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma/GED or equivalent education
- Must be credentialed and remain in good standing through the Veterans Health Administration (VA)
- Current certification in Basic Life Support (must be renewed periodically as specified by the certifying agency – AHA valid for two years, e.g.)
- Current certification in ACLS as specified by individual VAMC contract
- Proficiency in written and spoken English
- Minimum, 1-year experience in a clinical or call center environment
