Job Summary
Provide general direct and indirect patient care under physician supervision by handling patient intake, updating medical records, and administering screening tools. Record medical information and test results, conduct patient interviews, take vital signs, collect specimens, and administer medication. Assist with walk-in and scheduled clinic visits while ensuring verification of clinical data and adherence to quality standards. Monitor the environment for compliance with accreditation readiness and evaluate practice schedules. Guide patients through the health care system, provide emotional support related to clinical situations, and assist with referrals to specialists.
Required Qualifications
- Demonstrates knowledge of the certified medical assistant scope of practice
- incorporating elements of holistic patient-centered and team-based care
