Job Summary
Clinical and administrative duties for a Medical Office Assistant in the Wound Healing department, including patient registration, scheduling, vital signs collection, basic diagnostic procedures, specimen collection, documenting patient care, managing records and releases, coordinating admissions/transfers, data entry, and interdepartmental communication to ensure patient access and satisfaction. Responsibilities emphasize accuracy, confidentiality, and adherence to policies; requires proficiency with scheduling software, handling payments and co-pays, and supporting the patient experience in a fast-paced clinical setting. Skills include critical thinking, ability to work under general supervision, and collaboration with physicians, nurses, and staff. Requires a High School diploma or GED (preferred) and BLS certification within 90 days.
