Job Summary
Medical Office Assistant (MOA) at Mosaic Primary Care Network in Calgary, temporary full-time role supporting a multidisciplinary team. Responsible for front-door patient intake, EMR-based scheduling, patient registration and chart updates, appointment reminders, and coordination with external providers. Performs general office duties, data collection for quality improvement, and billing support while delivering excellent customer service in a healthcare setting; requires experience with multi-line phones, EMR systems (Practice Solutions preferred), and strong English communication and typing skills.
Required Qualifications
- Completion of an accredited Medical Office Assistant program (minimum 18 credits) is an asset
- Previous relevant experience in a health care or medical office setting is mandatory
- Minimum 3 years in a health care or medical office setting is considered a strong asset
- Customer service experience is required
- Experience using a multi-line phone system is required
- Experience in an electronic scheduling system required; experience with Practice Solutions EMR is a strong asset
- Proficient typing skills with a minimum speed of 40 words per minute
- Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, and Outlook)
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- Multilingual abilities are an asset
