Job Summary

Room patients, take vitals, collect specimens, document medical records, and assist providers with exams, minor surgical procedures, wound cleaning, dressing, supplies inventory, and stocking. Actively support physicians and nurses while participating in departmental meetings to identify process improvements. Manage demanding workloads with accuracy, maintain patient confidentiality, and ensure regulatory compliance. Work independently to maintain efficient office operations, utilizing time management and keyboarding skills. Travel to other office locations when necessary.

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma
  • Active BLS certification
  • Great interpersonal skills
  • Computer knowledge and skills including but not limited to Outlook and Microsoft Office
  • Ability to work independently
  • Flexibility and willingness to travel to other office locations when necessary
  • Knowledge of health care insurance and understanding of major issues by carrier
  • Ability to ensure all Hospital, State, Federal and other regulatory requirements are met as per job function
  • Ability to make good decisions and use best judgment to maintain an organized and efficient office
  • Ability to pay close attention to detail to prevent errors
  • Ability to develop and maintain a collaborative working relationship with patients, families, coworkers and medical staff, management and other health system departments
  • Skill in provision of care appropriate to the age of those patients served in a primary or specialty care office setting
  • Knowledge and principles of growth and development over a life span
