Job Summary
Greet patients and visitors, schedule appointments, and register patients by verifying insurance and updating demographic information. Collect copays, reconcile cash drawers, and prepare daily deposits while managing front office inventory and processing referrals. Answer phones, route calls, and scan documents into electronic medical records, ensuring all PHI requests are handled compliantly. Maintain a clean waiting area, attend staff meetings, and support additional administrative tasks as directed. Full-time, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM with extended hours on Fridays until 12:00 PM.
Required Qualifications
- Highschool diploma or GED
- CPR certification (within 30 days)
- Ability to walk, sit, stand, push, pull, bend, stoop, reach, and lift up to 30 pounds
- Must be able to pass FIT test as required for the position
Desired Qualifications
- One year of clerical experience in a medical office
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel), general office equipment and practice software platforms
- Basic understanding of medical terminology
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to multitask and work effectively under pressure
- Prefer Certified Medical Administrative Assistant (CMAA)
- Experience with EMR and PM Systems
