Job Summary
Prepare exam rooms by sanitizing, stocking supplies, and ensuring medications and vaccines are ready. Review upcoming appointments to identify gaps in care such as mammograms and immunizations, then escort patients to rooms and manage patient flow. Take and record vitals, patient history, allergies, and medications, while assisting with procedures including EKGs and in-office testing. Collect and process lab specimens, track results, and perform quality control on equipment. Help at the front desk by greeting patients, answering phones, and verifying insurance. Collaborate with providers to ensure the best patient outcomes within a mission-driven organization rooted in compassion and excellence.
Required Qualifications
- Graduation from a NYS-accredited Medical Assistant program
- BCLS certification (in-person training only, American Heart Association)
Desired Qualifications
- Current Medical Assistant certification preferred (NHA, AMT, AAMA, NCCT)
