Job Summary
Prepare exam rooms by sanitizing, stocking supplies, and ensuring medications and vaccines are ready. Escort patients to rooms, manage patient flow, and assist with procedures including EKGs, Holter monitors, and in-office testing. Take and record vitals, patient history, allergies, and medications while collecting and processing lab specimens. Perform quality control on equipment and testing materials. Help at the front desk by greeting patients, answering phones, and verifying insurance. Collaborate with providers to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Required Qualifications
- Graduation from a NYS-accredited Medical Assistant program
- Current Medical Assistant certification (NHA, AMT, AAMA, NCCT)
- BCLS certification (in-person training only, American Heart Association)
- Strong clinical skills including phlebotomy and aseptic technique
- A team-first attitude and commitment to providing respectful, quality care
Desired Qualifications
- Graduation from a NYS-accredited Medical Assistant program is preferred
- Current Medical Assistant certification preferred (NHA, AMT, AAMA, NCCT)
