Job Summary
Deliver high-quality classroom instruction for Medical Office Administration courses using varied teaching methods to accommodate diverse learning styles. Foster a positive, inclusive environment while encouraging active student participation and offering academic and career counseling. Maintain accurate records of attendance and grades, ensure compliance with College policies, and communicate student progress to the Campus Director or Program Coordinator. Stay current with industry trends by attending workshops and conferences to enhance subject matter expertise. This role supports Eastern College's mission to ignite student futures through integrity and dedication in a safe learning environment.
Required Qualifications
- 5 years of experience in the direct field of study being taught
- a diploma in a related field plus 2 years of direct field experience
- a degree in a related field plus 1 year of direct field experience
- Experience with billing in Nova Scotia clinics
- Experience in a hospital clinic or reception role
- Experience in a medical clinic or office environment
- HICA certification
- Must meet the minimum qualifications outlined in the Private Career Colleges Act of Nova Scotia
- A criminal background check will be required for the selected candidate
Desired Qualifications
- Adult education/teaching experience (preferred)
