Job Summary
Provide nursing care to residents in a residential psychiatric setting, including processing orders from doctors, documenting medication changes, administering injections (on call), drawing blood, collecting urine samples, monitoring weights and vital signs, and analyzing lab results. Serve as the primary liaison between nursing staff, doctors, pharmacy, and other medical professionals; ensure accurate charting and medical records; perform comprehensive nursing assessments; participate in on-call rotations for after-hours health-direction; and contribute to ongoing annual professional development while upholding Joint Commission standards.
Required Qualifications
- A current/valid Michigan Nursing License
- Certification in CPR and First Aid

- Ability to communicate effectively in a multi-disciplinary setting
- Ability to follow written and oral instructions
- Ability to meet the physical, emotional, intellectual and social needs of residents
- Capable of handling emergency situations

- Formalized professional development and training annually
