Job Summary
Medical Monitoring Manager for Oncology leads the Medical Monitoring Unit across Phase I–III oncology trials, ensuring medical and scientific integrity, guiding protocol interpretation, safety decisions, and cross-functional collaboration. The role requires senior leadership, people management, and the ability to balance scientific rigor with operational practicality, reporting to the VP of Medical Affairs, with flexible remote/hybrid options within the USA.
Required Qualifications
- Medical Doctor (MD) required
- oncology specialization strongly preferred
- 8 –10+ years of experience in clinical research
- Proven experience as a Medical Monitor in oncology clinical trials (Phase I–III)
- Strong background in safety review and medical decision-making in active oncology studies
- Demonstrated experience in people management and team leadership
- Experience managing multiple studies or programs simultaneously
- Strong understanding of clinical trial design and regulatory frameworks (ICH-GCP, FDA, EMA)
- Fluent English required; Spanish is a plus
- CRO experience strongly preferred; Pharma experience will also be considered
