Job Summary
Head the Medical Monitoring Unit to oversee multiple Medical Monitors and ensure high-quality medical monitoring across oncology trials from Phase I through Phase III. Provide expert guidance on protocol interpretation, safety events, eligibility, and benefit‐risk assessment; act as a senior medical point of contact for sponsors, investigators, and internal stakeholders. Drive consistency and quality standards, manage resources across a complex portfolio, contribute to study and portfolio planning, and support hiring, coaching, and retention of medical staff. Partner with Clinical Operations, Drug Safety, Medical Writing, and Regulatory to advance an oncology-focused portfolio. Requires Medical Doctor (MD) with oncology specialization, 8–10+ years in clinical research, proven Medical Monitor experience in oncology, leadership experience, and strong knowledge of regulatory frameworks (ICH-GCP, FDA, EMA). Required Qualifications
- MD required; oncology specialization strongly preferred
- 8 – 10+ years of experience in clinical research
- Proven experience as a Medical Monitor in oncology clinical trials (Phase I–III)
- Strong background in safety review and medical decision-making in active oncology studies
- Demonstrated experience in people management and team leadership
- Experience managing multiple studies or programs simultaneously
- Strong understanding of clinical trial design and regulatory frameworks (ICH-GCP, FDA, EMA)
- Fluent English required; Spanish is a plus
- CRO experience strongly preferred; Pharma experience will also be considered
