Medical - Medical Assistant

Provide clinical and administrative support as part of the SDCHC medical team: prepare exam rooms, measure and record vital signs, assist with examinations and procedures, administer immunizations and injections under provider orders, conduct CLIA-waived and POC testing, perform venipuncture when trained, and maintain stock and clean, compliant exam spaces. Support patient education, care coordination, and navigation for follow-ups; maintain patient confidentiality and accurate EHR documentation; assist with interpretation services if bilingual; handle scheduling, medical records, and daily team activities. Requires High School Diploma or GED and Medical Assistant certification; CPR/BLS certification with in-person skills assessment; willingness to complete on-the-job venipuncture training if not initially certified; compliance with annual renewals, background checks, and drug screening as applicable. Preference given to applicants with experience in FQHCs or services to diverse, underserved populations and to those with national MA certifications.
