Medical Manager

Lead the Escondido and Oceanside Medical Supervisors through recruitment, interviewing, onboarding, training, performance management, and corrective actions while indirectly supervising RVTs, veterinary assistants, and medical volunteers. Manage staffing coverage for supervisor absences by responding to call-outs and coordinating operational continuity, and review supervisor timecards and leave requests to ensure compliance with attendance policies. Conduct regular one-on-one check-ins with direct reports and facilitate recurring leadership meetings to identify operational challenges and develop solutions. Oversee inventory management for controlled and non-controlled drugs, ensure accurate record keeping, and process invoices, track financial documentation, and reconcile end-of-day reports for medical services. Lead the development and monitoring of medical protocols, facilitate team meetings and onboarding programs, and partner with Volunteer Engagement to manage new medical volunteer roles and schedules. Collaborate with campus leadership to coordinate patient transfers and ensure efficient movement of animals through medical pathways.
