Job Summary
Lead, coach, and develop a team of Medical Management Specialists to achieve performance and quality outcomes. Oversee the assessment and approval of medical and surgical requests while ensuring compliance with WorkSafe legislation and industry guidelines. Monitor team performance, provide regular feedback, and identify development opportunities. Act as the key escalation point for complex medical management matters and partner with Medical Advisors and Claims Leaders to support recovery pathways. Drive continuous improvement initiatives and process efficiencies to foster a high-performing culture. Ensure service standards, quality, and customer expectations are consistently achieved.
Required Qualifications
- Demonstrated leadership experience within Workers' Compensation, Personal Injury or Insurance
- Strong understanding of medical management, return-to-work and WorkSafe legislation
- Proven ability to coach, mentor and develop high-performing teams
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
- A collaborative leadership style with a focus on continuous improvement and customer outcomes
