Job Summary
Manage and oversee a comprehensive caseload of medical malpractice claims from initial assessment to final resolution. Consult with experts to assess the standard of care and identify, research, and analyze complex legal issues. Regularly communicate with clients, insurance contacts, and opposing counsel to facilitate case progression. Take and defend depositions, represent clients in arbitration, and argue motions to secure favorable rulings while attending in-person and virtual court appearances. Efficiently prioritize assignments and competing deadlines. Requires 3+ years of medical malpractice defense experience and ability to handle depositions, mediations, and arbitrations. From $110k/yr DOE.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of medical malpractice defense experience
- Experience handling depositions, mediations, arbitrations, and other complex assignments
- Excellent research, writing, and communication skills
- The ability to manage a large caseload and the day-to-day tasks involved within the cases
- Experience billing for your time
