Job Summary
Coordinate and expedite medical record retrieval for clients in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. Manage high-volume calls (40–50 daily) to medical facilities, providers, and custodians as scheduler/coordinator/appointment setter; follow up on requests; verify accuracy of records and invoices; prepare and respond to correspondence; manage calendars and deadlines; perform provider and facility research; conduct EAMS searches; maintain professional client relationships and ensure timely delivery of records in a remote/full-time role. Strong emphasis on organization, independent work, communication, and problem solving in a legal-copy-services context.
Required Qualifications
- Prior experience in legal copy service strongly desired but not required
- Experience with medical record retrieval, subpoena processing, or legal support services is a strong plus
- Excellent customer service and relationship-building skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Ability to think critically and solve problems creatively when delays occur
- Experience in a fast-paced deadline-driven environment
- Strong verbal communication skills and professional phone etiquette
- Active listening skills and professional communication style
- Experience using Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Email systems, Calendars, Internet-based research tools
