Medical Lead Veterinarian

Job Summary
Mentor and develop associate veterinarians through regular performance discussions, coaching on individual development goals, and leading monthly doctor meetings to discuss best practices and medical standards. Set the example for clinical quality and efficiency while practicing as an associate veterinarian and achieving personal production targets. Partner with the Practice Manager to build a healthy team culture, drive continuous improvement in patient care and client service, and help develop the annual operating plan to meet EBITDA goals. Manage hospital financial performance, ensure compliance with medical and DEA regulations, and supervise externship and mentorship programs. Serve as an ambassador for the hospital and Mission Pet Health through community engagement at schools and local events.
Required Qualifications
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree
- valid state license in good standing
- minimum of 2 years of practical clinical experience

- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
- understanding of the financial and operating management of a hospital
- willingness to learn the financial and operating management of a hospital
- Proficiency in intermediate computer skills (MS Office, Outlook, etc.)
