Job Summary
Lead and mentor associate veterinarians through regular performance discussions and coaching on individual development goals. Set the standard for clinical quality by practicing medicine yourself while driving hospital performance via the annual operating plan and EBITDA targets. Partner with the Practice Manager to ensure compliance with medical and DEA regulations, and lead monthly doctor meetings to discuss best practices and new services. Supervise externship programs, champion recruitment, and serve as an ambassador for the hospital and Mission Pet Health through community engagement at schools and local events.
Required Qualifications
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree
- valid state license in good standing
- minimum of 2 years of practical clinical experience

- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
- understanding of the financial and operating management of a hospital
- willingness to learn the financial and operating management of a hospital
