Job Summary
Medical Affairs Lead for the United Kingdom responsible for shaping and delivering the UK medical strategy, leading cross-functional collaboration to support product launches, market access, and adoption of Insulet’s diabetes devices. Oversees country medical plans, medical education and evidence-generation activities, HCP and KOL engagement, and internal knowledge translation. Manages a team within the UK/Benelux leadership context, partners with commercial, marketing, regulatory, and access functions, and leads country launch planning and execution. Requires deep diabetes expertise, leadership in Medical Affairs, and track record in driving medical plans, trials (including Investigator-Initiated trials), and externally-facing scientific activities. Frequent travel (30-40%), location: United Kingdom.
Required Qualifications
- MD/PharmD/PhD or MS in life science or equivalent
- 8+ years of Medical Affairs experience in diabetes within pharma or medical device industry
- deep understanding of diabetes disease state and current/future treatment landscape
- leadership experience in Medical Affairs; ability to lead cross-functional teams
- strong written and verbal communication in English
- experience with medical education, evidence generation, and advisory boards
- familiarity with go-to-market plans and product launches in UK/Europe
- ability to translate clinical data into actionable insights
- experience with regulatory, market access, and sales enablement considerations
- proficiency with medical content review and external communications (e.g., Veeva); engagement with HCPs and KOLs
