Medical Lead, Simulation Laboratory

Job Summary
Oversee the programming and operational responsibilities of the Simulation Laboratory and provide leadership in coordinating major simulation events/sessions/workshops with internal and external partners. Lead in the development of programs, support continuing education and faculty development through simulation-based education, collaborate with physicians and academic partners, participate in recruitment and governance of the Simulation Lab, drive quality indicators and improvement initiatives, ensure a safe environment for patients and staff, and engage in accreditation processes and research activities. Must hold a Medical License in good standing with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario and have at least five years of clinical experience, with preference for leadership/supervisory experience and involvement in medical education, process improvement, medical technology, and research.
Required Qualifications
- Medical License in good standing with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario
- Ministry of Labour “Worker Health and Safety Awareness in 4 Steps” training certificate
- Minimum of five (5) years’ experience working in a clinical area within a health care environment
- Experience working as faculty/instructor in simulation-based education for physicians, medical learners, or inter-professional teams within the last 12 months
- Experience in a leadership/supervisory role in a health care environment (preferred)
- Experience in medical education, process improvement, medical technology and research (preferred)
