Job Summary
We are seeking a Medical Laboratory Technician/Scientist responsible for performing medical tests for diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of diseases. Duties include collecting and organizing samples, preparing samples for testing, recording results, monitoring inventory, maintaining a clean work environment, and working under supervision. Previous clinical technician experience, familiarity with medical terminology, laboratory experience, and ASCP certification are required.
Required Qualifications
- Previous experience as a clinical technician or in other related fields
- Experience in a laboratory setting
- Must be ASCP certified
- Degree or enough science credits to qualify for ASCP
- Copy of MLT Certification by an approved organization such as ASCP, AMT or NCA
- BLS (American Heart Association approved)
- FLU shot within a year
Desired Qualifications
- Familiarity with common medical terminology
- Strong organizational skills
Additional Requirements
- Required to work 2nd and 3rd shifts due to department rotation
