Job Summary
Medical Laboratory Technologist I position at St. Peter's Hospital in Melville. Full-time regular role in the Multi-functional Laboratories Core Lab, unionized under CUPE. Performs laboratory duties for the detection, prevention and management of physiological and pathological conditions. Requires Medical Laboratory Technology diploma (MLT) and licensure by the Canadian Society for Medical Laboratory Science and by the College of Medical Laboratory Professionals of Saskatchewan. Also requires valid driver’s license where applicable and ability to work independently; demonstrates strong computer, communication, organizational, analytical, and interpersonal skills. Hours include days, weekends, and standby with extended shift hours. Salary falls under Pay Band 16.
Required Qualifications
- Medical Laboratory Technology diploma (MLT)
- Licensed & registered by College of Medical Laboratory Professionals of Saskatchewan
- Certified by the Canadian Society for Medical Laboratory Science
- Canadian Society for Medical Laboratory Science certification
- Valid driver's license where required
- Ability to work independently
